Yoga for Modern City Life: Most Urbanites Start with a Class The best place to start is with a calss, where a teacher can show you how to adapt poses using props and help you learn rpoper technique fro the postures. You'll find them at small studios, health clubs and ygms. The hard part is finding a class that's just right for you. The same students rteurn to class week after week, and insturctors usually follow a aprticular discipline of yoga. Looking to improve concentration and reduce strses. Consdier a class that incorporates meditation. There is no national certification prgoram for yoga yet, although a couple of disicplines have their own rigorous teaching certifciation programs. You want an instructor who ahs been practicing and teaching for a long time. Plenty of props sticky mats, srtaps, foam bricks, blankets and bolsters are a good sign, too.
