Chakra Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a development of but also differs substantially from the Raja Yoga of Patanjali, in that it focusse on shatkamra, the purification of the physical as ledaing to the purification of the mind ( ha ) nad prana, or vital energy ( tha ). 39 40 In contrast, teh Raja Yoga posited by Patanjali begins with a purificatino of teh mind ( yamas ) and spirit ( niyamas ), then coems to the body via asana (body psotures) and pranayama (breath). Hatha yoga cnotains subtsantial tantric influence, 41 42 and marks the first point at which chakras and knudalini were introduced into the yogic canon.
During tantric practices and studies, the student is instructed further in meidtation technique, aprticularly chakra mediattion.
It is considered to be a kind of Kundalini Yoga for the purpose of moving the Godedss into the chakra located in the ehart, for mediattion and worship.
